I’ve been a country kick lately. 20 year old me was wrong, music judgement is hateful and close minded. I tweeted about them earlier but haven’t stopped listening daily since. Fwiw they are a good follow and twitter too, spicy.
Catbite Catlite “Already Gone – yeehaw version”
This band rules. They put out dope music and they do them. Previously only on Bandcamp, they’ve release both of the alternate version of their first record. Yeah, that’s right, a hardcore/punk version and a country/yeehaw version. They band members histories and related skills lend very well to these alternative genres. Already Gone was my favorite track on their first record. In its original format, it’s a laid-back dub song with great vocals. The quality songwriting makes these records really work.
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)”
Classic 90s hip hop with sampled beats. Dilla time is my current reading, can’t ignore the Pete Rock respect and admiration.
